Karaganda Medical University hosted the Republican event "Abai and the Legacy of Generations in Word and Painting" to mark the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev and the publication of the book "Әке жолы. Перзент парызы" by Makash Tynyshtykbayevich Aliyakparov, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, and member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The author of this book presents the audience the legacy of Shakarim and his son Akhat Shakarimuly. The book contains notes fr om M.T. Aliyakparov's scientific and educational expedition "In the Footsteps of Akhat," as well as previously unpublished verses and poems by Akhat Shakarimuly.
The event was organized by the Languages Development Center of Karaganda Medical University. The event was attended by representatives from Akimat of the Karaganda Region, Languages Development Administration of the Karaganda Region, leading universities and libraries of Karaganda, Memorial House of Kassym Amanzholov, Department of Culture, Archives, and Documentation of the Karaganda Region, Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, friends and colleagues of M.T. Aliyakparov. 



The concert program featured a performance by  Serzhan Taranuly Mussayin, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, solo performer from the Concert Association named after Kali Baizhanov. Artistic performances were also presented by students and teachers of Karaganda Medical University, as well as the guests from the schools of Karaganda. All performances were warmly welcomed by the audience.
In the entrance hall, a book exhibition was set up, wh ere visitors could explore works commemorating the legacy of Abai, Shakarim, and Akhat Shakarimuly.
The colorful decoration of the hall and entrance hall, as well as historical costumes reflecting characters from Abai's writings, added to the festive atmosphere of the event.
