On April 1, 2026, an inter-university interactive workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education” was held within the framework of the "Елтану" (“Eltanu”) program at “Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC, which was organized by the Languages Development Center.
The event brought together faculty members, practitioners, medical residents, and students interested in modern digital transformations in the medical field.
The workshop focused on discussing the potential, opportunities, and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process and clinical practice.
The workshop moderator, B.S. Kaukerbekova delivered the welcoming remarks, emphasizing the relevance of the topic and the need for an interdisciplinary approach.
During the plenary part, K.K. Sarsenbayev, Dean of the International Medical Faculty, highlighted the key skills of the future and the impact of artificial intelligence on the development of professional competencies of a doctor.
The presentation presentation by A.Zh. Zhaldybayeva, lecturer at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, dedicated to the application of AI tools in teaching, including the experience of integrating technologies into Kazakh language instruction.
The practice-oriented aspect was presented by a resident neurosurgeon A.K. Raibayev, who demonstrated the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in neurosurgery and medical training.
Students' reports reflected a high level of research activity and strong interest in the digitalization of the educational process, including the application of the SAMR model and analysis of international practice.
During the discussions, special attention has been given to issues of academic integrity as well as the ethical aspects of using artificial intelligence in education.
Participants noted the importance of such events for exchange of experience, development of professional dialogue, and the formation of digital culture among future professionals.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates, and the event became an important platform for further development of innovative approaches in medical education.
