On April 9–10, 2026, the II Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Interdisciplinary Neurology in the Age of Digital Transformation: Challenges and Innovative Solutions" was held in Astana. It brought together leading specialists and young researchers in the fields of neurology, rehabilitation, and digital medical technologies.
The conference was attended by scientists and practitioners fr om various countries, including Russia, the United Kingdom, and Israel. Participants discussed modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with neurological diseases, as well as prospects for implementing digital technologies in clinical practice. On behalf of the Karaganda Medical University, Dr. S.A. Yana Kozlova presented a paper entitled "Neuroinflammation: Current State of the Problem, Diagnosis, and Treatment." Professor T.T. Kispayeva presented the key concepts of neuroinflammation and its role in the development and progression of neurological diseases.
The conference included a competition for young scientists, wh ere NAO KMU presented research papers on innovative methods of restoring neurological functions, telemedicine, and digital rehabilitation. NAO KMU's undergraduate and graduate students actively participated in the young scientists' section, presenting the following papers: "Speech Recovery Using Digital Technologies in Patients after Stroke" (N. Kaiyrzhanova, T. Zhunusova, Supervised by MD, Professor T.T. Kispayeva), "Using Digital Technologies in Gait Restoration in Patients with Cerebral Stroke" (A. Zheksenbaeva, T. Vlasova, Supervised by MD, Professor T.T. Kispayeva). The scientific paper by N. Kaiyrzhanova and T. Zhunusova, "Speech Recovery Using Digital Technologies in Patients after Stroke," was highly rated by the expert committee and took first place, confirming the high level of scientific training of the young researchers and the relevance of the presented research.
