Karaganda Medical University held a round table discussion on the topic of “Together for Life,” which focused on issues related to the rehabilitation of women with breast cancer.
The event was organized by Karaganda Medical University and “Өмір сыйла” Charitable Fund, with support from the Regional Maslikhat Commission for Social and Cultural Development and the Regional Trade Union Center.



The round table discussion was attended by A.U. Aldeney, Deputy Governor of the Karaganda Region, B.N. Kosherova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KMU, university professors, deputies, and students.
- Nowadays, in Kazakhstan great emphasis is placed on prevention, early detection, and timely quality care for diseases such as breast cancer. The state is taking unprecedented actions in this area—screening examinations and treatment are free and accessible. The introduction of the state screening program has made a significant contribution to protecting the health of the country's female population, noted Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KMU.
The roundtable meeting not only outlined present problems, but also synthesized new steps towards reducing morbidity rate and improving the quality of life of women in our country who are facing breast cancer.
