The Day of Spiritual Harmony

On November 1, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and SPD held an event to mark the Day of Spiritual Harmony - a holiday that was established in 1992 and symbolizes peace and unity between representatives of more than 130 nationalities and more than 18 confessions living in the country. 


Group 2-010 from the “Pediatrics” major hosted a special event. 
The invited guests have witnessed a varied and eventful program including:
Ainur Kanieyva's inspiring story of Abay's wisdom and ideas that remain relevant to this day. 
An interesting review of modern statistics about Kazakhstan, accompanied by reflections on social harmony and the importance of unity in modern society, prepared by Leila Sarymullayeva. 
Vibrant traditional dances of different nationalities filled the atmosphere with energy and charm in the performance of Gulnur Kassanova, Manshuk Bayzhanova, Leila Sarymullayeva. 
Live musical performances with a guitar and ukulele performed by Ayana Melnikova, Nikita Karyanov, Damira Gazizova. 
A fascinating interview with a journalist
Damira Gazizova with a representative of the German national community Vladimir Riess, whose relatives survived the tragic circumstances of deportation to Kazakhstan and found their homeland here. 
Ramazan Ishankulov's report about the nature of the Islamic faith. 
A report on the importance of spiritual harmony in a person's life, prepared by Nikita Karyanov. 

It is notable that all presentations and musical performances were in three languages, which is also becoming a hallmark of Kazakhstan. 

Assel Baltabay was the presenter and very talented in introducing each participant of the event. Roman Golyzhenkov was responsible for the technical part of the event. 

The demonstration lesson concluded with a hospitable tradition of serving the guests, organized by the students of 2-010 group, who affectionately prepared national dishes for the guests. 

The Day of Spiritual Harmony serves to remind the importance of respect for cultural and religious differences as the basis for a stable and prosperous society. 

The host of the event was Alma Zholomanova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and SPD.
