The Best Start-Up projects and papers at the conference

 

Startup projects competition and XI International Scientific Conference of young scientists and students on “Prospects of development of biology, medicine and pharmacy” were held within the framework of the II International Forum of young scientists and students dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, October 16-18, 2024 in Shymkent.

Two of our startup projects became the best among 11 announced projects and won 250 thousand tenge each, where the total prize fund amounted to 500 thousand tenge.

The project “PHYTO-SOAP” was presented by 4th year students of the “Technology of pharmaceutical production” specialty of the School of Pharmacy: A.K. Rzagaliyeva, L.Sh. Bekniyaz, Zh.A. Toksanbai. Research advisor is PhD, Associate Professor of School of Pharmacy E.A. Tulebayev. The goal of the project is creation of handmade soap with antibacterial effect and aroma of common lilac.

Project “MARMELO-SWEET” was presented by students of the 4th year of the “Technology of pharmaceutical production” specialty of the School of Pharmacy Z.M. Seitova, B.Sh. Aitzhanova, A.B. Anuarbek, S.N. Mussabek, A.K. Abdygalym. Research advisor is PhD, Associate Professor of the School of Pharmacy G.M. Abdrakhmanova. The goal of the project is creation of biologically active additives in the form of marmalades from juneberry, gooseberry and pine cones, as well as antibacterial drops with chamomile extract and flavor of lemon and honey.

Among the reports at the conference in the section “Pharmaceutical technology and pharmacognosy – new prospects of research” holders of the diploma of III degree were the 4th year students of the “Technology of pharmaceutical production” specialty D.O. Tleules, S.N. Mussabek, A.K. Abdygalym with a report on “Development of technology of anti-inflammatory and antiseptic drops based on herbal extracts”. Research advisor is PhD, Associate Professor of the School of Pharmacy G.M. Abdrakhmanova.

The forum was attended by students and young scientists from medical and pharmaceutical universities of different countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Russia, India and others.
