Psychological Safety and Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

On March 12, 2026, a regional scientific conference on the topic of “Psychological Safety and Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was held at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines. The conference was conducted in three languages.

The main goal of the conference was a comprehensive discussion of issues related to psychological safety and ethics in the age of artificial intelligence, demonstrating the importance of responsible use of new technologies in the field of mental health, as well as exchanging scientific studies and experience in this area.




The Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines, Svetlana Andreyevna Nikiforova opened the conference with welcoming remarks. The hosts of the conference — assistant professors of the department K.K. Zhunussova, G.B. Abdikarimova, and M.B. Ospanova, introduced students and guests to the conference program.

Students of medical and dental specialties took part in the conference and presented their reports in three languages.

Among the speakers were 4th-year students of the Dentistry specialty: D. Miratova with the report on “Использование искусственного интеллекта в психическом здоровье и его этические последствия”;

A. Tokzhanova with the report on “Искусственный интеллект в стоматологии: возможности и проблемы.”

Students of the Medicine specialty from the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th years also presented their reports.

S. Izhieva – “Риски и преимущества персонализированного обучения с использованием генеративного ИИ: влияние на мотивацию, креативность и исполнительные функции.”

“The Influence of Artificial Intelligence on the Psycho-Emotional State of a Person” (S.A. Kenesbekova, PhD, Karaganda National Research University named after Y.A. Buketov).

“Artificial Intelligence in Pedagogy” (A.N. Sankhayeva, PhD, Karaganda National Research University named after Y.A. Buketov).




The participants shared the results of their research and discussed the prospects for the application of artificial intelligence in the field of mental health. During each presentation, guests and students asked questions and actively participated in the discussion. After each presentation, guests and students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback.

Overall, the conference became an important platform for scientific discussion on issues of artificial intelligence and psychological safety. As a result, the participants gained new knowledge and put forward proposals aimed at the safe and ethical application of technologies in the field of mental health in the future.

At the end of the conference, the hosts expressed their gratitude to the participants and awarded them with certificates.
