From October 15 to 16, 2025, Tashkent State Medical University hosted events promoting friendship between young medical professionals from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as part of the project “Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”



The delegation from Karaganda Medical University was represented by:
- Chairman of the Board – Rector of KMU –Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova,
- Director of the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies of KMU –Gulshat Seitmuratovna Kemelova
- Senior lecturer at the Physical Health Center of KMU –Olga Nikolayevna Radynskaya.
- Students:
Kh. Iriskulov, R. Shortanov, V. Khomenko, A. Akisheva – participants of the Olympiad and scientific exhibition.
I. Popandopulo, D. Karibayev, A. Yugai, D. Darkhankyzy, V. Ogai – participants of the sports contest.



During the visit, B.N. Kosherova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KMU, a meeting was held with young medical professionals from Uzbekistan on the topic of: “The future of medicine is in our hands: the university as a platform for unleashing potential.”
G.S. Kemelova, Director of the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies of the KMU, delivered a motivational lecture on “Developing leadership skills in students through a tutoring program.”



In the international competition in dentistry, students V. Khomenko, A. Akisheva took 3rd place. Students were prepared by the teacher Z.N.Zhumabayeva.
Following the sporting competitions, KMU students took the following top places:
- V. Ogai – 2nd place at the 400-metres race
- I. Popandopulo – 3rd place – chess
Karaganda Medical University was actively involved in events focused on strengthening of partnerships, exchanging experiences, and promoting friendly relations between future doctors from both countries.
One of the key points of the visit by the delegation from Karaganda Medical University was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between Tashkent State Medical University, represented by Professor Sh.A. Boimuradov, and Karaganda Medical University, represented by the Chairman of the Board – Rector, B.N. Kosherova.



The document is designed to develop academic mobility for students and faculty, organize joint research initiatives, exchange experience in medical education, and create new forms of academic partnership.
The memorandum will be an important step in strengthening international contacts and continuous cooperation between two leading medical universities in Central Asia.
