In March 2026, an International Student Scientific Club's meeting was held among interns from Samarkand State Medical University and Karaganda Medical University. The event took place online.
Lecturers and interns from the Department of Internal Medicine of the Pediatric Faculty at Samarkand State Medical University and the Department of Family Medicine at Karaganda Medical University participated in the meeting. Fifth- and sixth-year interns were actively involved.
The topic of the meeting was “Systemic Diseases of Connective Tissue: Early Detection, Modern Diagnostic Methods, and Treatment Principles for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Clinical Case Studies and Patient Examination Methods.”
The report was presented by Yerlan Muratbekuly Turar, an intern from Group 6030. The academic advisor - Assistant Professor Lazat Sarsenbayevna Batyrbekova from the Department of Family Medicine.
During the presentation, special attention was given to the key diagnostic criteria for rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, classification features, disease progression, medical examination, and rehabilitation of patients.
During the discussion, a resident from the Rheumatology Unit of Samarkand City Hospital shared practical experience in managing patients with rheumatological diseases. Such discussions contribute to the development of interns’ medical judgment.
