04/17/2022 in Almaty, as part of the international Almaty half marathon, the half marathon championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at a distance of 21.1 km.

The strongest athletes from 17 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the race. In this competition, the Karaganda region was represented by a student of the 4-037 group of the specialty "General Medicine" of the Medical University of Karaganda Pavel Ovtsynov, updating his personal record at this distance.
