On 31 August 2023, the grand opening of the student hostel of NC JSC "Medical University of Karaganda" for 400 beds was held with the participation of the Minister of Health A. Giniyat.

This is a great gift to future healthcare professionals for the beginning of the new academic year. The construction was implemented by the university within the framework of the program "Five Social Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" with the support of JSC "Financial Centre" and the akimat of Karaganda region.

The uniqueness of the new hostel is that it is of a modern type, where everything is aimed at maximum comfort for students. The rooms are designed for 2 people, equipped with new comfortable furniture, there is a room for preparation for classes, wireless Internet is available everywhere. Modern household appliances, multimedia room, sports halls: gym, tennis, dance and others are at the students' disposal. On the ground floor of the building, there is a doctor's office, an isolation room with a separate exit to the street.

Azhar Giniyat warmly congratulated the staff and students of the university on this significant event, wishing them successful mastering of professional knowledge and skills.

In her welcoming speech, Anar Turmukhambetova, Chairman of the Board-Rector of NC JSC "MUK", expressed her gratitude to the Head of State K. K. Tokayev, as thanks to his initiatives and instructions, the program to provide students with comfortable accommodation in new dormitories was adopted. The program is fully supported by the Government, in particular the Ministry of Health, and local executive bodies.

Thanks to the location of the hostel in the center of Karaganda, our future doctors will not only live comfortably during the academic period, but also easily get to the clinical bases where the practical part of training is carried out. Not far away is the Central Park, where students have the opportunity to relax and visit sports grounds.

The most active senior students of NAO MUC live in the new hostel. However, providing comfortable conditions for all students is the main issue for the university management today. In this regard, the next stage will be the construction of another hostel for 500 places, also in the city center.

Accompanied by the Rector, the guests familiarized themselves with all the conditions created for future doctors, talked to the students, who are very grateful for the opportunity to live in the modern Student House.
