Sports contest among students
From March 3 to 7 the XIX Student Sports Contest among universities of Karaganda region was held. The KMU team took the honorable III place in the team standings! This is an excellent result, considering that we lost to the team of Karaganda Buketov University, which has a faculty of physical culture and sports, and to Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
The competition went on until the last fixture.
Seven teams took part in the competition:1.Karaganda Medical University
The participants competed in 16 sports.
I places were taken by swimming and chess teams.
II places were taken by teams in checkers, weight lifting, basketball (m) and tug of war.
III places were taken by table tennis and togyzkumalak teams.
In individual classification the following students were distinguished:
Weight lifting - N.S. Amambai 2011 Dent. III place.
A. Sekerbai 3015 Medicine II place.
A.A. Togaybek 1036 Medicine II place.
Track and field athletics- D.M. Ilyassova 3-007 Dent. II place.
V.R. Ogay 1-007 Dent. III place.
Kazakh Wrestling- Zh.N. Nurlan 6010 Resident II place.
Swimming - A.S.Daulet 1005 MPD III place.
