Practice at pharmaceutical production facilities in India

Fr om January 12 to January 18, 2025, students fr om Karaganda Medical University's School of Pharmacy attended "Sufficient Pharmaceutical Practices" manufacturing practice at India's leading pharmaceutical enterprises. The practice aimed to broaden professional knowledge, familiarize participants with the latest pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies, and exchange globally best practices.

 The group that did practical training included undergraduate students: A. Bolatbek, Sh. Bazarbai, T. Aralbai, M. Kussainov, Zh. Amangeldin, V. Krivonogova, master's degree student S. Almatova, PhD student G.K. Kurmantayeva. 
Practice supervisors: Aigul Turdykhanovna Medeshova, Manoj Kumar, Dinesh Kumar.

As part of the internship, visits to the following organizations were arranged:
1. Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is one of the largest manufacturers of pharmaceutical products in India, wh ere the internship participants familiarized themselves with production processes, modern technologies and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
2. Tirupati Group is a leading manufacturer of nutraceutical products, wh ere the students learned the processes of development, production and quality control of vitamins and dietary supplements.
3. Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy (GGSCOP) is a reputable educational institution in Yammunagar, wh ere the internship participants took part in lectures on the latest achievements in  pharmaceutical science.
4. Penam Laboratories is a laboratory specializing in the development and testing of pharmaceuticals.
5. Panjab University, Chandigarh is one of the leading universities in India, where the students got acquainted with research initiatives in the field of pharmaceuticals.
6. HiGlance Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. is a laboratory in which the practice participants observed the processes of quality control and analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials.
The internship program included visits to manufacturing sites as well as lectures, which allowed participants to gain a better understanding of the entire cycle of pharmaceutical development and production in accordance with international standards of sufficient pharmaceutical practices (GLP GCP GMP).
Following the practice, the students noted the outstanding level of technology applied in India, as well as the value of the acquired knowledge for future professional advancement. Aigul Turdykhanovna Medeshova, Manoj Kumar, and Dinesh Kumar, practice supervisors, highlighted the relevance of international practices in developing students' professional competencies and improving pharmaceutical cooperation.
