On May 20, 2022, a scientific and practical conference with international participation "Topical issues of clinical psychology of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held at MUK NCJSC, on May 20, 2022, dedicated to the memory of associate professor of the Department of Psychiatry of the KSMU, psychotherapist Lyudmila Gurova Stepanovna.

At the plenary session, the chairman of the conference, acting Board chairman - Rector, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Science of the "Medical University of Karaganda" NCJSC, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor - Turmukhambetova Anar Akylbekovna made a welcoming speech, highlighting the relevance of the specialty "Clinical Psychology" in modern healthcare, recalling the milestones of the professional path of Lyudmila Stepanovna Gurova - teacher, influenced the formation of professionalism of many representatives of the mental profession in Kazakhstan.

Reports of practicing psychologists and psychotherapists from Kazakhstan and Russia were presented in the sections, master classes on psychotherapy of neurotic and narcological disorders were extremely interesting.  The speeches were interesting for their practical orientation and significance, and were discussed in the debates.

The conference participants are set to meet in a year at the walls of the Medical University of Karaganda.
