Eurasian Pediatric Summit

The Eurasian Pediatric Summit was held from September 26 to 28, 2025 in Diyarbakır, Türkiye. The Association of Pediatricians of the Northern Region of the Republic of Türkiye hosted the event, which brought together researchers from the United States, Poland, Türkiye, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The event focused on issues related to vaccination of children. Participants discussed their experiences facing hesitancy among representatives by law, the importance of healthcare professionals, and their motivation to raise immunization awareness. .png)
We delivered a presentation titled "The Immunization and Exemption Dilemma: The Kazakhstan Experience" (Tukbekova B). The presentation covered primary research on medical exemptions to vaccination at a young age and their impact on children's immunization coverage against vaccine-preventable diseases. Particular attention was paid to the data on the severity of community-acquired pneumonia in infants based on vaccination status, as well as the peculiarities of the course in cases with disrupted vaccination schedules. The discussions took place in the setting of trust and openness on such a multifaceted issue as vaccination, wh ere international contacts expand the boundaries of understanding, implementation of the latest achievements in the area of vaccination in a hands-on environment, and education. At the conclusion of the summit, a memorandum on cooperation was signed between Karaganda Medical University and the Eastern Pediatric Association of Türkiye.
