Entrepreneurs – Digital Impulse for Development: Financial Literacy as Success Factor
23 September 2025
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan titled "Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Solutions Through Digital Transformation," delivered on September 8, 2025, that entrepreneurs should be the driving force of the country's digital development.
Within this framework, first-year students studying the "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Anti-corruption Culture" module at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences participated in an engaging workshop on "Entrepreneurs – Digital Impulse for Development: Financial Literacy as Success Factor", with the participation of  Alina Robertovna Koshkinbayeva, graduate of Karaganda Medical University, PhD candidate, entrepreneur in Karaganda (cosmetician, surgeon, founder and head of a clinic). Alina Robertovna shared her vast experience managing her own business and explained challenging moments start-up entrepreneurs encounter, as well as common mistakes they make.
Special emphasis was placed on applying innovation in business. Digitization is more than just technology implementation; it is a global process that impacts all aspects of business, from internal operations and communications to consumer engagement.

The workshop highlighted that one of the most significant aspects of digital transformation is digitizing organizational processes. This involves the automation of many business activities, such as planning, accounting, financial regulation, and so on. In an ever-changing market environment, this approach not only increases efficiency but also reduces the risk of errors and delays in data processing. The setting of the workshop was friendly and open, with students actively asking questions and receiving useful advice directly from a professional practitioner.
The workshop made an important contribution to the educational process, motivating students to develop their digital and financial skills.
Facilitators of the event were faculty members of the Department: Bagdat Sabitovna Bitenova, PhD, Associate Professor, and Dinara Yermekovna Dzhakupova, Assistant Professor at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences.
