17 October 2025
On October 15, 2025, second-year students from the Medicine educational program immersed themselves in an engaging atmosphere of strategic gaming events organized by the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences. Participants were divided into two groups studying different modules in different languages: one group was mastering the foundations of entrepreneurship and anti-corruption culture in Kazakh, while another group studied political science in English. The event was titled “Strategic Role Play: Marketing in Power: How to Sell in Political Realities.” Students had a unique opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge in practice and demonstrate creativity and expertise.
The first stage involved presentations of prepared reports delivered exclusively in English. The students' performances were vibrant and informative, evoking a warm response of the audience.
This was followed by the distribution of participants into teams through drawing lots method. All five teams received unique cases representing real-life political and economic challenges. Each team's task was to develop an effective marketing campaign for promoting a specific project. Despite differences in language training, students successfully tackled assigned tasks thanks to active collaboration and exchange of opinions.

A special aspect of this event was the interaction between students training in different languages. This approach enabled participants to broaden their horizons, enhance critical thinking skills, and taught them how to communicate effectively regardless of native language. Such cooperation highlights the essential role of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences in organizing innovative sessions that foster professional competencies and intercultural communication skills.
Facilitators noted high performance activity of students and keen interest in studying the modules. Such sessions help future doctors not only master medical sciences, but also expand their range of humanitarian knowledge essential for successful professional career.
Interdisciplinary sessions have become traditional at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences and are regularly conducted throughout the academic year. They create an atmosphere of creative inspiration and motivate students to actively engage in the educational process while simultaneously developing leadership and teamwork skills.
Therefore, the event demonstrated the relevance of interdisciplinary approaches in training medical students, and feedback from students confirming the value of bilingual sessions for expanding opportunities for professional growth among future doctors.
The facilitators of this event were the teachers of the Department - PhD, Associate Professor Bagdat Sabitovna Bitenova, and Assistant Professor Dinara Yermekovna Dzhakupova from the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences.
