Karaganda Medical University's experience against corruption in the educational environment and ensuring academic integrity was presented at the international forum "Anti-Corruption Volunteering: From Cooperation to Results," which took place on September 27 in Kostanay. The speaker from Karaganda Medical University was compliance officer Aleksandr Urmashov, who noted in his speech the work done by the university to build a compliance system, the university's participation in the Academic Integrity League's activities, and the steps taken to cultivate an anti-corruption culture in the educational environment.

The Forum was organized by the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Kostanay region and Mayor office of Kostanay region, set a goal to share experience in the implementation of the anti-corruption volunteering movement and updating approaches in the field of building anti-corruption culture. The task of forming a professional networking platform for compliance officers, university teachers, ethics commissioners, public experts and volunteers involved in the corruption prevention has also become important.

The Forum included presentations by Bauyrzhan Uzynzhas, Head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Kostanay region, Serik Bekturganov, Head of the Public Council of the Kostanay region, Didar Smagulov, ex-director of the “Әділдік жолы” (Adildik Zholy) Public Association, anti-corruption volunteer, Anara Idelbayeva, Head of the compliance service of the representative office of “Камлит” (Kamlit) LLP in the Republic of Belarus,  Ruslan Puzikov, Professor of the Russian Academy of Natural History (Tambov), Candidate of Legal Sciences,  Yuri Polyukhov, Chief of the Criminal Police Department of the Police Department of the Kostanay region, police colonel, Abdibekov Nurbek, public figure, Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee at the Public Council of the Kostanay region.

          The result of the Forum was a resolution for the authorized bodies, which included suggestions from the participants to further strengthen the institution of anti-corruption compliance and volunteering.
