On November 23, 2023, teachers of the "Epidemiology" module, in collaboration with the epidemiologist at the “Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS” of the Karaganda Region I.A. Venchikova, conducted a training and role-playing game on the prevention of HIV infection among the 4th and 3rd year students of the shortened form of training of the educational program "Public Health" of the University.

The training addressed issues about the current epidemiological state of HIV infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the causes, ways, and factors of transmission, as well as preventative and diagnostic measures. Those in attendance watched a video on “Reducing stigma and discrimination against HIV-infected adolescents” and participated in an HIV/AIDS preventive role-playing game.

  The students participated actively and asked questions, which were comprehensively answered. It was incredibly positive, interesting, stimulating, and educational. The students were able to learn the material provided and gain a better understanding of HIV infection. Brochures, notepads, and notebooks were handed to all attendees for the preventive purpose of HIV infection.
