Republic Day is a special holiday for every citizen of our sovereign state.
On October 25, 1990, the Declaration of National Sovereignty was adopted. This document became the foundation for Kazakhstan's independence.
Modern Kazakhstan is a rapidly developing state. Our country's progress and achievements are recognized by the international community.
Kazakhstan's key asset has always been and remains its citizens, and its main pillar is peace and harmony.
Karaganda Medical University has developed rapidly since the independence years and continues to build on success in all areas of activity.
The university has its own clinics for developing students' practical skills, thereby improving the quality of medical education and medical services provided.
KMU became a research university. This bolstered the university's position in the areas of science and education, enabling to conduct academic research at a higher level, and successfully implement its results in practice.  
The Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies is one of the best in the country. It implements innovative approaches to learning and teaching by using advanced mannequins, high-tech automated robot simulators, virtual and interactive programs.
KMU students successfully pass an independent examination every year, confirming their proficiency.
The academic staff continuously upgrades their skills and takes an active part in scientific projects, conferences, and symposiums, including international ones.  
As of today, Karaganda Medical University has over 9,000 students from 17 countries around the world.
In this anniversary year for our university, we have launched a double-degree educational program in collaboration with Kazan State Medical University. This will enable students to study at two leading medical universities of Kazakhstan and Russia, receiving two degrees upon completion of their studies.
International cooperation is rapidly developing at Karaganda Medical University. The university has 95 international and 23 Kazakhstani partners.
Nowadays, Karaganda Medical University has enormous potential for addressing strategic national and international tasks.
Over the years of independence, we have achieved a lot, and today it is very important to preserve what we have achieved and build on it.
We are positive that the employees and students of Karaganda Medical University will continue to contribute to the growth and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan.
