Current Issues of Nephrology in the Practice of an Internship Doctor

On October 23-24, 2025, representatives from Karaganda Medical University participated in the III All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation on “Current Issues of Nephrology in the Practice of an Internship Doctor”, held in Samara, Russian Federation. At the conference, I.V. Bacheva, Associate Professor from the Department of Internal Medicine presented her report ("The Possibilities of Prescribing SGLT2 in Dialysis Patients: First Clinical Oucomes"), and D.Kh. Rybalkina, Professor from the Department of Internal Medicine (the report on “Genetic Determinants of Renal Dysfunction Risk in Athletes: The Role of AGT (rs699) and AQP1 (rs1049305) Polymorphisms.”)





In the Young Scientists Section, diplomas of 2nd and 3rd degree in the nomination of “Original Research” were awarded to D.A. Zhumagaliyeva, 2nd-year postdoctoral student of the “Medicine” educational program (the report on “Molecular and Genetic Basis of Athletes’ Metabolic Profile: Focus on Kidney Function”); G.B. Khamrayeva, 2nd-year medical resident in the “Nephrology (Adult, Pediatric)”  specialty (the report on “The Connection Between Bioimpedance Vector Shift and Kidney Function in Athletes.”)
The conference addressed topics such as the interdisciplinary approach in ambulance situation with a focus on the management of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), cardiorenometabolic syndrome, and current issues of renal replacement therapy, including the presentation of original research findings and clinical cases in nephrological practice. As part of the event, the Samara State Medical University Clinic was introduced, highlighting the scope of its medical services, including kidney, heart, and liver transplantation, and the use of 3D printing for orthopedic implants. There was an exchange of experience between researchers and clinical physicians from leading medical centers of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Thessaloniki, and Karaganda.
