In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines hosted an insightful and inspiring event on the topic of “Cultural and Social Attitudes Toward Women: The Experience of Kazakhstan and India”.
The event was organized by Zhanna Khamzekyzy Alkenova, lecturer at the Department and Assistant Professor Galiya Fanilievna Galina. Students from the groups School of Medicine 2036 and  International Medical Faculty 2016, 2006 took part in the discussion, turning the meeting into a genuine dialogue of cultures.
On this day, the lecture room became a space for lively exchange of traditions and perspectives. International students shared stories about cultural practices and family values, speaking about the changing and consolidation of the position of women in modern Pakistan and India. In turn, local students discussed the status of women in Kazakhstan and spoke about the traditions of celebrating March 8 — International Women’s Day, a holiday filled with warmth, respect, and gratitude toward women.
The dialogue was accompanied by interactive activities, lively discussions, and genuine interest of students in different cultural traditions. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, helping to challenge and overcome established stereotypes.
Each participant not only shared knowledge but also discovered how much different cultures have in common in their respect for women, their strength, beauty, and wisdom. Today, women of the 21st century confidently combine traditions with new opportunities, shaping the image of modern society.The  meeting concluded with a vibrant Indian dance performance, which beautifully crowned the cultural gathering and left participants with smiles, inspiration, and a truly festive mood.
