On September 30, 2023, cross-country running championship of Karaganda region took place, which was dedicated to the memory of the honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.S. Kuku.

The student of 6039 group of NCJSC "KMU" Pavel Ovtsynov became the champion at the distance of 8000 m.
