Challenges and Prospects of Medical Education

The annual ROSMEDOBR Congress was conducted fr om October 16 to 18 at the Technological Cluster Lomonosov Moscow State University. Anyone interested in professional growth and progress in medical education attended this unique platform, wh ere they exchanged experiences and became acquainted with the most current trends in medical education.
The III International ROSMEDOBR Congress included the XV International Forum "Innovative Educational Technologies in Medicine-2024", the III Congress of the Russian Society of Medical Education Specialists, and an exhibition of advanced technologies for medical education.
The Congress participants had the opportunity to discuss the following topics:
∙ DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETENCES: unique discussions focused at increasing the teachers' competencies - effective teaching and assessment, current methods and technologies in medical education.
∙ EDUCATION ORGANIZATION: discussion of focused training, employer participation in the training process, regional university staffing, or attracting employees.
∙ FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES: Using AI and VR in Education
∙ SCIENCE AND INNOVATION: implementing scientific developments, successful research, and defended dissertations, grants, and patents.
∙ DIGITALIZATION OF EDUCATION: boosting teaching staff's digital literacy and transitioning to domestic software.
∙ PRACTICAL TRAINING: private clinic or clinical base - advantages and disadvantages. Creation and development of simulation centers.
∙ INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL EDUCATION: Modern systems and resources to assist with the educational process.
∙ HUMANITARIAN TRAINING: cultivating human-centeredness, cross-cultural competences, and multiculturalism
∙ CONTINUOUS EDUCATION: additional programs, evaluation of event quality.
∙ HUMAN RESOURCES AND EDUCATION HR STRATEGIES: recruiting, training, adaptability, motivation, development, and staff retention.
∙ CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION: features, new regulations, primary and specialized accreditation, concerns with periodic accreditation.
Gulshat Kemelova, head of Karaganda Medical University's Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies, represented Kazakhstan with three verbal reports in the sessions "Technologies Transforming Education," "Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence," and "A Year Later." Results and Achievements in the Creation and Promotion of Digital Interactive Educational Products for Medical Education". Karaganda Medical University has participated in ROSMEDOBR conferences on a regular basis for the past 12 years and continues to contribute to the advancement of medical education both domestically and internationally.
