“Achievements of the School of Nursing Education in Neurorehabilitation”
The XXVI Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Актуальные проблемы клинической, экспериментальной неврологии, нейрохирургии и нейрофизиологии” (“Current Issues in Clinical, Experimental Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neurophysiology”) was held to mark to the 90th anniversary of Professor S.K. Kaishibayev and the 95th anniversary of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
At the conference, presentations were featured by speakers fr om universities of neighboring and foreign countries. A presentation was featured by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T.T. Kispayeva from the "KMU" NCJSC, on the results of her scientific internship in neurorehabilitation in the UK, who won the “500 ученых РК” ("500 Scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan") competition. The organizing committee of the conference and Kazakhstan Association of Neurologists awarded T.T. Kispayeva a certificate for her significant contribution to the development of neurology in Kazakhstan, for training highly skilled specialists, and for providing assistance to patients with neurological pathology.
As part of the conference, a section of the School of Young Scientists was held, wh ere master’s students of the School of Nursing Education, Botagoz Bataa and Albina Zheksenbayeva, presented their reports on the following topics: “Церебральды инсульттен кейінгі оңалтуда проприоцептивті нейробұлшықеттік фасилитацияны өзін-өзі басқару әдістерімен біріктірудің тиімділігі” (“The effectiveness of combining proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation with self-management techniques in post-stroke rehabilitation”), and “Кинезотерапияны өзін-өзі басқару әдістерімен біріктіре отырып жүру дағдысын қалпына келтіру” (“Restoring walking skills by integrating kinesitherapy with self-management techniques”). The presentations sparked lively discussions and were highly evaluated by the participants of the conference for their relevance and practical value. Botagoz Bataa took 2nd place and was awarded a second degree award for her work.
The conference became an important platform for exchanging experience and strengthening international cooperation in neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, and nursing.
