Saltanat Tanashkyzy Mendibay, Assistant Professor of the School of Public Health on the  “Epidemiology” module visited the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at “AMU” NpJSC from November 20 to November 24, 2023, as part of the academic mobility.

During the implementation of the academic mobility program S.T. Mendibay familiarized herself with educational materials and study manuals of teachers, with the material and technical resources of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, with the resources of the library collection, visited the museum, and also conducted practical sessions with the 4th year students of the  “Public Health” EP on the topical issues of the  “Advanced Epidemiology-2”discipline.

In practical sessions students developed a set of preventive and epidemiological responces aimed at preventing the emergence and spread of infectious and parasitic diseases, their distribution and eradication, studied the features and tendency of developing in the epidemic process of acute enteric infections among the population; priority nosologies and ways to improve the epidemiological surveillance of them; learned the skills of epidemiological survey of nidus of infection.

S.T. Mendibay familiarized herself with the history of formation of  “AMU” NpJSC, with the resources of the library collection. In general, the approved course schedule for the discipline was fully implemented.

To summarize, academic mobility result is knowledge sharing and experience between faculty members from both universities, which will be beneficial to our students' education.
