Within the Memorandum of Cooperation framework between ‘Karaganda Medical University’ NCJSC and Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, the Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-based Medicine of the ‘KMU’ NCJSC Nailya Dyusembayeva was on the programme of internal academic mobility of teachers from October 28 to November 8, 2024.
Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the "KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov" NCJSC is located in the University Hospital of Internal Medicine. Students, interns, residents of related disciplines, master's students and doctoral students are trained at the department. At a meeting with the Chairperson of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Academician of the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Kairolla Rakhimov, current issues of training personnel in residency, as well as research areas of the department's employees dedicated to conducting pharmacogenetic studies for personalized medicine were discussed.
For the residents of the first and second year of training, Nailya Kamashevna conducted several lectures and practical sessions according to the educational program of the residency ‘Clinical Pharmacology’, within such disciplines as ‘Clinical pharmacology (general issues of clinical pharmacology and clinical and pharmacological characteristics of separate groups and medications). Formulary system, as well as ’Stages of conducting various types of clinical trials of pharmaceutical products. Personalized pharmacotherapy (therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacogenetics)’.
Associate Professor N.K. Dyusembayeva also took part in the meeting of the Association of Clinical Pharmacologists of Almaty chaired by Academician of National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Raisa Kuzdenbayeva. The meeting discussed the organization of clinical pharmacology and hospital pharmacy in practical healthcare institutions. The participants took an active part, asked questions, and received comprehensive answers from the Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of ‘KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov’ NCJSC Bibikhan Yeraliyeva and Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-based Medicine of ‘Karaganda Medical University’ NCJSC Nailya Dyusembaeva .
In general, academic mobility was very vigorous and productive. Such visits allow teachers of medical universities to exchange educational and clinical experience, which contributes to the development of further cooperation to improve the quality of training of future medical professionals.
