Acceptance of documents for the awarding of the scholarship of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of “Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC

Dear students!

Committee on Youth Affairs of the Senate of the University announces the beginning of accepting documents for the awarding of the scholarship of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of “Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC.

The scholarship is awarded to full-time students who study on a fee basis, starting from the 2nd year of study, who successfully completed educational programs (provided that the GPA is not lower than 3.0 for the entire period of study and does not have disciplinary actions for the entire period of study), engaged in academic research work, innovation, entrepreneurial, sports, cultural, creative and public activities.

To take part in the awarding of the scholarship competition, you are required to:

1. Prepare a documentation package for participation;

2. Submit the completed documentation package to the dean's office of your school or faculty for consideration.

List of documents:

1. Application of a candidate for a scholarship of the Chairman of the Board - Rector;

2. References for the candidate, signed by the dean of the relevant school or faculty, which necessarily includes the candidate's GPA for the entire period of study and information on the presence or absence of disciplinary actions for the entire period of study (prepared by the dean's office);

3. Copies of documents confirming the particular results of the candidate in academic research work, innovation and entrepreneurial activities (if available);

4. Copies of documents confirming the particular results of the candidate in sports activities (if available);

5. Copies of documents confirming the particular results of the candidate in cultural and creative activities (if available);

6. Copies of documents confirming the particular results of the candidate in publicly significant activities (if available).

Candidates are evaluated according to the scoring system and according to the criteria, calculated by the formula X = (GPA*25*0.50) + (A*2*0.20) + (B*6.25*0.10) + (C* 5 * 0.10) + (D * 12.5 * 0.10), wh ere GPA is the weighted average mark of the level of academic performance for the entire period of study, A - the results of academic research work, innovative and entrepreneurial activities of the candidate, B - the results of sports activities of the candidate, C – results of the candidate's cultural and creative activities, D – results of the candidate's publicly significant activities.

In case of equal number of points, preference is given to students entitled to benefits. If candidates are not entitled to benefits, then preference is given to students with more achievements.
