“Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC announces conducting of the I (intra-university) stage of the Republican annual competition of academic research works of students (further - ARWS competition).The main goals and objectives of the ARWS competition are:
1) Encouraging academic research and learning and cognitive activities of students;
2) Selection and support of the most talented and bright students;
3) Assistance in the building of the intellectual potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The ARWS competition is held in 2 stages:
1) The first stage is intra–university;
2) The second stage is Republican.
Students and student teams of the university can participate in the ARWS competition upon the recommendation of scientific organizations or a research adviser.
To participate in the ARWS competition, it is required to provide the following documents:
1) Scientific work;
2) Abstract of the scientific work (according to the form in Annex 1);
3) Feedback from the supervisor on the degree of independence of the work performed (in arbitrary form);
4) Information about the author(s) and the research adviser.
Requirements for the design of scientific work: Scientific work in Kazakh, Russian and English printed in Times New Roman font, font size – 12, interval – 1.5 is submitted to the ARWS competition. The amount of work should not exceed 20-40 pages. Restrictions on the volume of work in the direction of its increase may be changed by the basic higher education institutions according to the sections of the competition. The presentation of models and natural exhibits is not allowed. The schemes and illustrations attached to the work should be arranged on standard-sized sheets. The scientific work may be accompanied by acts (copies of acts) on the implementation of the results of scientific work, copies of patents, academic papers. Degree works, term works and projects can be submitted to the competition if they contain novelty or provide for the implementation of their results in production or in the educational process.
• The winners of the II stage (Republican) of the ARWS competition, who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, will be awarded I-, II- and III-degrees diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
• A research adviser, under whose supervision students have completed at least three award-winning scientific papers, will be awarded a diploma from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The package of documents for participation in the ARWS competition is accepted until March 2, 2026 (inclusive) in electronic form to the email address BatykovaA@qmu.kz or on paper to the Department of Scientific Work at the address: 40/6 Gogol St., 3rd floor, office 360, tel.: 8(7212)50-39-30 (ext. 1435), 8(776)265-04-36.
