“Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC announces the I (intra-university) stage of the Republican annual competition of research works of students (hereafter RWS competition).
The main tasks and objectives of the RWS competition are:
1) Stimulating research and educational and cognitive activities of students;
2) Selection and support of the most talented and gifted students;
3) Assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The RWS competition is held in 2 stages:
1) The first stage is intra–university;
2) The second stage is republican.
Students and student teams of the university can participate in the RWS competition on the submission of scientific organizations or an academic adviser.
To participate in the RWS competition, it is required to submit the following documents:
1) Research paper;
2) Abstract of the research paper (according to the form in Annex 1);
3) Review from the academic adviser on the degree of independence of the performed work (in any form);
4) Information about the author(s)' and the academic adviser.
Requirements for the design of a research paper: Research paper in Kazakh, Russian and English printed in Times New Roman font, font size – 12, line-space – 1.5 is submitted to the RWS competition. The scope of work should not exceed 20-40 pages. Restrictions on the scope of work in the course of its increase can be changed by the basic universities according to the sections of the competition. The presentation of models and natural exhibits is not permissible. The drafts and illustrations attached to the work should be compiled on standard sized sheets. The research paper can be attached by acts (copies of acts) on the implementation of the results of scientific work, copies of patents, research articles. Graduation assignments, term works and projects can be submitted to the competition if they contain scientific novelty or provide the implementation of their results in production or in the educational process.
· The prize winners of the II stage (Republican) of the RWS competition, who ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, will be awarded I-, II- and III-degree diplomas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
· Academic adviser, under whose supervision students have completed at least three award-winning research papers, will be awarded a diploma from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
