Announcement of a Competition for intra-university grant funding of scientific research for 2026-2028
“Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC (hereinafter – “KMU” NCJSC) in order to increase the scientific potential of the employees of “KMU” NCJSC, increase the publication activities of faculty members, research fellows and students, involve students in academic research work, support and develop new promising research areas announces a Competition for intra-university grant funding of scientific research for 2026-2028.
The total amount funding for 2026-2028 reaches 120,000,000 tenge, including funding for priority areas:
1. Development and evaluation of the management model for the "KMU" NCJSC Clinic – 9,000,000 tenge, including by years:
for 2026 – 3 000 000 million tenge,
for 2027 – 3 000 000 million tenge,
for 2028 – 3 000 000 million tenge.
2. Applying artificial intelligence in education and medicine – 15,000,000 tenge, including by years:
for 2026 – 5 000 000 million tenge,
for 2027 – 5 000 000 million tenge,
for 2028 – 5 000 000 million tenge.
3. New therapeutic targets for the treatment of malignant neoplasms – 24,000,000 tenge, including by years:
for 2026 – 8 000 000 million tenge,
for 2027 – 8 000 000 million tenge,
for 2028 – 8 000 000 million tenge.
4. Other areas in accordance with the priority areas of scientific development of the Republic of Kazakhstan – 72,000,000 tenge, including by years:
for 2026 – 24 000 000 million tenge, but no more than 8,000,000 tenge for the implementation of one project,
for 2027 – 24 000 000 million tenge, but no more than 8,000,000 tenge for the implementation of one project,
for 2028 – 24 000 000 million tenge, but no more than 8,000,000 tenge for the implementation of one project.
Application forms are submitted to the Department of Scientific Work in electronic form by corporate email Aleshina@qmu.kz .
To participate in the Competition, it is required to submit a package of documents to the Department of Scientific Work:
1. Cover letter (KMU F 6/05-01/01) – scanned version, signed by the supervisor;
2. Application for participation in the Competition (KMU F 6/05-03/01);
3. Conclusion of the local Bioethics Commission of the "KMU" NCJSC (for biomedical research involving humans and animals);
4. The result of the check in the university's anti-plagiarism system.
Applications will be accepted from February 10, 2026.
The deadline for submitting applications – March 1, 2026 (inclusive).
